How it works
I am afully qualified PPC specialist for both the Google Advertising platform and the Microsoft Advertising platform. The steps outlined below apply to both platforms
I am ALREADY advertising online with Google and/or Bing
Initial Evaluation
First of all, I take the time to understand your business and your business goals. An online PPC campaign will only work if the campaign and your business goals are perfectly aligned.
Account Review
I will ask you to give me READ ONLY access to your Google Ads and/or Bing Ads account. I will then carry out a thorough audit. This includes Ads, keywords, negative keywords, extensions, bidding strategy, optimization score, and much more.
Optimization
After carrying out a thorough audit, I provide you with a detailed written report and an action plan. Within this action plan, I also include an estimated timeframe. I will then proceed to make the recommended changes whilst also measuring their impact on your account (this is a daily ongoing process)
Reporting
It is very important with both Google Ads and Bing Ads to have accurate reporting in order to measure the success of the campaigns. I provide a monthly report along with a monthly Zoom meeting or presencial meeting wherever possible.

Research
Competitor analysis, Keyword research, and Ad design are fundamental at this stage of the process. I uses sophisticated software tools to analyze your competitors and to find highly relevant keywords for your campaign. I also carry out extensive negative keyword research to make sure that your Ads don't show for irrelevant searches.
Account Setup
At this point, it is time to set up the relevant accounts (Google and/or Bing). I will help with this process but it is important to not that the account is IN YOUR NAME the account and all account data is wholly yours. You will then add me as a manager and I will proceed with setting up the campaign, bidding strategy, targeting, Ads, negative keywords and more.
Reporting

Keyword Research
Keyword research is fundamental in PPC campaigns. It is really important to make sure that your Ads are only triggered by relevant keywords which are likely to convert a visitor into a client.
Take for example the following “PPC advertising” as opposed to “hire a PPC manager”. The former keyword would be triggered by anybody who is just interested in finding out about PPC advertising whilst the second shows commercial intent.
Negative Keywords
A fundamental part of any PPC Consultant’s job is investigating negative keywords. These are keywords or search terms that you do NOT want your Ads to show up for. Imagine that you offer a service but there are also online services which offer a FREE version (but you don’t), you would want to block all of these irrelevant searches.
Propper negative keyword research is fundamental for improving your conversion rate and making the most of your budget. 99% of the time there are far more negative keywords than positive keywords and it is important to make sure that none of them conflict within your campaign, this is where an experienced PPC specialist can really save you a lot of money.
Targeting
One of the principal advantages of a PPC campaign, apart from targeting people searching for your product or service, is that you can also target potential clients in other ways. You can target potential clients by gender, income, interests and also if they are “in-market”, this means that Google recognizes that this person is actually interested in make a purchase. By leveraging the advertising platform’s AI* you can greatly increase the possibility that someone clicking on your Ad will make a purchase or fill in your contact lead form*.
Conversion Tracking
With conversion tracking, you can measure the success of your campaign and work out whether or not it is actually profitable. Conversion tracking works by tracking the user’s journey, from clicking on your Ad to arriving at the thank-you page after making a payment or filling in a form.
The ability to track your visitors means seeing which keywords, Ads, and landing pages are working and which are not. You can then focus on increasing the effectiveness of your Ad campaign.
Both Google and Bing Ads have a wide range of bidding strategies to allow you to get the most from your online advertising campaigns.
Maintain Control of your Account
While automation and AI is important and both the Google and Microsoft advertising platforms offer you a wide range of facilities to automate your account, not all AI recommended suggestions will have a positive impact on your account.
For example, if the platform recommends that you change your bidding strategy, then you need to evaluate if this will really have a positive effect on your campaign. Maybe the platform will suggest some high volume low-cost keywords which will get you more clicks but you need to evaluate if these keywords are truly relevant to your marketing goals and will increase the number of clients you will get.
As a PPC specialist I monitor your account daily to evaluate performance and decide whether to accept or reject any automated suggestions based on my experience as to whether it not they will improve your campaign’s performance.
